When government officials are quoted, you never know whether to believe it or not. It's what they do that's important. But the most important thing of all is finding out what they're doing and what they did in the past and that's becoming a more difficult problem every day. Fake news and biased news agencies are on the rise mostly because of advertising and the internet. Finding an unbiased news agency that doesn't make most of their money from advertising seems to me to be the best idea. My current guesses as to who to trust are; Wikipedia, Snopes, NPR, and some international or foreign news agencies like BBC and Reuters but like I said these are only guesses. Of course you can try to interpret the official records of our three branches of government; legislative, judicial, and executive but that's some pretty heavy reading with a lot of fine print. These are just my ideas. Let me know what yours are!
