The key to understanding explanations of the origin of the universe is knowing the difference between "exploding" and "expanding". Exploding means mass or energy moving outward from from some central point due to some central force but expanding meams that more space is created between energy or mass particles where no force seems to be involved. The big bang was not a bang because that implys an explosion. It was really the big "expansion".
